Zarinah Hassan, also known as Zari the Boss Lady, is a Ugandan socialite, musician, and businesswoman based in South Africa. She is the CEO of Brooklyn City College.

Early Life

Born on September 23, 1980, in Jinja, Uganda, to Nasur and Halima Hassan. Zari attended Jinja Girls High School and pursued a diploma in cosmetology in London.

Career

Zari began her music career in 2007 with "Oliwange" and co-founded Brooklyn City College with her late husband, Ivan Ssemwanga. She is now CEO and has five children.
